USI Wireless offers a variety of modems depending on variables around you that impact your Internet connectivity and the type of service you choose.
Wireless Modem
Any modem purchased or leased from USI Wireless has been specifically designed and optimized to work with our metro Wi-Fi network. Patent-pending hardware and software let subscribers connect faster and more reliably to outdoor metro Wi-Fi networks — automatically optimizing around changing environmental conditions.
Our wireless modem connects to your computer's LAN or network adapter with an Ethernet cable. If you choose to connect wirelessly you will need a wireless router or access point. When using a wireless router, your modem connects to your router with an Ethernet cable. This allows laptops, PDA's and other wifi enable devices to share the Internet connection. Any wired connections would connect to open LAN ports on your router. USI Wireless is unable to supply or endorse any particular router and require your modem be connected directly to your computer in any case where technical support is required.
